The Society of
"The Fetus as a Patient" (1984)

"The Fetus as a Patient" international society is dedicated to improving the care of pregnant women and their unborn and newborn children. This society was established by initiative of Professor Asim Kurjak in 1984 in Sveti Stefan due to the rapid development of fetal medicine. To advance the educational goals of the society, its board members are internationally recognized authorities in obstetrics, neonatology, perinatal pathology, basic sciences and medical technology. Their duties are to attend the annual scientific congresses and to participate in postgraduate courses.
